Update:

Sully has found a loving new home. Over time it became clear that he would be happier in a different herd environment. That's why I decided to find him a home that better suited his needs.

I'm incredibly grateful for the time we shared together and truly happy that he has found the right place. He will always remain a part of Rancho La Calma.

His Story:

Sully came into my life quite unexpectedly. At that time I already had seven horses and was convinced that adding another one would simply be too much. But my neighbour wouldn't give up and eventually persuaded me to at least go and meet Sully.

From the very first ride, he impressed me with his calm and gentle nature. He never needed to draw attention to himself, he was simply steady, present and reliable. Those are the kind of qualities you notice immediately.

After deciding that Sully should join me, I rode him the 14 kilometres home. The route crossed challenging terrain with steep hills, rocky sections and constantly changing ground. Despite his size and strength, Sully proved to be incredibly sure-footed and gave me a deep sense of confidence from the very beginning. That ride laid the foundation for the trust we built together.

During his time at Rancho La Calma, Sully became a valued member of the herd. He formed a particularly close friendship with Schimmelchen and the two spent countless hours playing together.

Sully combines strength with sensitivity. He is calm, reliable and remarkably gentle in the way he perceives the worls around him. It is this unique combination that makes him the special horse he is.
